How did you become involved at St. Peter’s?

A friend invited my brother and I back in 2015-2016. After the birth of my son and during the Pandemic, I joined an online/Zoom Episcopal 101 class held by Mother Alissa which led to me joining and not long after my son Enzo was baptized.

What do you love about attending St. Peter's?

I love the liturgy and beauty of our church, but most importantly I love how family-oriented the church is. It can be intimidating for young parents to bring a child into a "quiet" liturgical church. Everyone at St. Peter's is welcoming and kind.

What attracts you to the Episcopal Church?

I love the Via Media. I like that I can participate while still having questions, doubts and uncertainties.

Who is someone who has had an impact on your spiritual journey? How did that person contribute to your formation?

My brother Nick has taught me to go against the grain from time to time. He taught me the importance of being authentic and it has helped me immensely in my spiritual development.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy cooking and hanging out with my wife and son.

Do you have any practices that help to nourish you spiritually?

Mindfulness has been a very helpful. I would recommend it to everyone.

What is something your church family would be surprised to learn about you? (e.g. hobbies, education, career, interesting/unique job you’ve had, etc.)?

My wife and I are almost high school sweethearts. We started dating in the summer after highschool (15 years ago this July) and got married right after college.

What is your ‘go to’ or favorite bible verse?

"Peter do you love me" - Christ's love and acceptance of Peter even after Peter's denial of Christ during the crucifixion is very impactful to me.

What is the last book you read?

That All Shall be Saved - David Bentley Hart

If you could have an endless supply of any food, what food would you pick?

I love southern bbq but I would have to stick with my Italian roots and say pizza.

Share a personal example of an answered prayer.

My wife's pregnancy was a bit difficult. During the labor, all I wanted was a healthy wife and a healthy baby. I am blessed to say that my prayer was answered.

What is something that you are passionate about and would like to spend more time doing?

I love traveling and I hope to do more of it now that my son is a little older (5).

What is a way that God has shown up in your life recently?

I see his work in fatherhood. I've learned more about God since my son was born than all the years prior.

What is one item on your or your family’s bucket list?

We want to go to NYC during Christmas time.

Did you develop any new skills or hobbies during the pandemic?

I bought a smoker and built a small pizza oven. I did not lose weight when the restaurants were shut down.
